Partitions are those sections into which you divide your hard drive. These can be used to store files, to install operative systems, and so on. Nevertheless, once partitioned and having an OS installed in your hard drive, they are limited in the options to be managed.
IM-Magic Partition Resizer has many functions to manage your partitions system. You can use it to create a new partition, format, delete or merge partitions, copy an existing partition, and even format or defragment your disk's partitions.
The program is really easy to use. Once opened, you will see a list of your drive's partitions, along with information about them, including their size and format type.
To start working you only need to select the partition you want to work with, and right click on it. A menu will appear, showing the different partition management options. As I've said before, you have many different options to work with. Please be careful, since options such as formatting may cause you to lose your files.
A nice feature is that, along with its partition management options, the program has additional functions, such as Explore, Defragment, Check partition (to detect and correct disk errors), and more.
And last but not least, the program is free for home use. There is a paid-based version with several more options, but the free version can be enough for most of us. You may want to try it and keep it if you find it useful.
